Do you have a concept similar to "mottainai" (which means "waste not, want not" in Japanese) in your country? If you do, what do you say?

No, my country does not have mottainai.

There is certainly awareness of “mottainai” but I don’t think there is an exact word for it in foreign countries. The idea of “mottainai” is probably universal. In Japan, we have awareness of “mottainai,” but it is not very widely practiced, which is a bit sad.
